Overview
What is SubmitMap?
SubmitMap is a directory of 826 launch platforms and startup directories, built for people who need to submit a product to many places and want to know what each one actually requires. Every listing carries a structured record behind it: who the platform accepts, what gets you rejected, the submission steps, the requirements and the gotchas.
The directory is free to read and needs no account. The site's own framing is "free to read, paid to run" — the map is not the thing you buy, and no platform pays for placement.
Alongside the directory, SubmitMap runs an MCP server, so an AI client you already work with can look up platforms, qualify a product against their rules, plan a submission run, and fill in the forms.
How SubmitMap works
The premise in the documentation is that launching is not one hard task but sixty small ones that look alike and are never quite the same. A model asked to "submit my product everywhere" answers from memory, naming the handful of directories it has heard of and skipping the smaller ones. SubmitMap replaces that guesswork with a dataset the agent queries.
Once connected, the flow described in the docs has five steps. The agent learns the product once — the facts that decide eligibility and the copy forms ask for — and stores them on your account, filling most of it in from inside your repository and asking about the rest. It then sorts every platform into ready to submit, reachable once you supply something specific, and structurally out of reach, with the rule behind each answer. It writes the run in an order: slow reviews first, cheap wins early, plus a checklist of what has to exist before anything goes out. It then fills forms in your browser, giving you the brief for one platform at a time: what is missing, the value for each field, the steps and the traps in that specific form. Finally it records what happened — listing URL, when it went out, when it goes live and what came back — so "did I already submit there" stays answerable later.
The typing happens in your browser where you are already signed in, and by default it stops at every login and hands the keyboard back. What it is allowed to do with your logins and repository is configurable.
Main features
- A directory of 826 platforms, browsable and filterable. Filters include product type (AI tools 630, SaaS products 547, developer tools 359, indie products 272, marketing tools 152), category, pricing model (free 315, freemium 364, paid 147), approval time, link value and domain rating bands (60+, 70+, 80+, 90+).
- Per-platform records, not just links. Listings shown on the homepage include Product Hunt (DR 91, free, same day), Show HN (DR 91, free, instant), G2 (DR 91, freemium, 2–4 weeks), SourceForge (DR 92, free), Docker MCP Catalog (DR 92, free), Trustpilot (DR 94, freemium), Devpost (DR 88, free, instant), F6S (DR 83), Startup Fame (DR 83, freemium, about a week), Fazier (DR 82), Indie Hackers (DR 81) and Findly.tools (DR 80).
- Three no-token MCP tools:
search_platforms,get_platformandqualify_projectwork with no token at all. - Token-based tools for your own account: the dashboard that remembers your launch and accepts your agent's writes.
- Submission tracking per project, so no platform gets done twice by accident.
Pricing
Everything is in US dollars and payment is handled by Stripe; your card never reaches SubmitMap.
- Free — $0 forever: 1 product, 10 submissions your agent makes for you, unlimited qualification checks, the whole run planned however long it is.
- Indie — $9 per month: 1 product, 100 submissions a month, briefed and tracked. The month is the cap, not your account; the count resets on renewal.
- Studio — $15 per month: 3 products, unlimited submissions.
- Unlimited — $29 per month, or $190 a year, described as saving $158: unlimited products and unlimited submissions.
- Lifetime — $250 once: everything in Unlimited, one off payment, no renewal to cancel.
A submission counts once, from the first time your agent asks for the brief that fills a platform's form, and stays counted. Being briefed again for a platform you have already spent one on is free, so fixing a listing costs nothing. Reading platforms, qualifying, planning and recording outcomes are free on every plan.
Common use cases
- Working a launch across many directories without keeping a spreadsheet of what was sent where.
- Deciding which platforms will accept a product right now, and what is missing for the ones that will not.
- Reusing one set of product facts across many forms that ask for taglines, descriptions, gallery images, logos, first comments and maker bios.
- Picking a run back up weeks later without re-reading a chat log.
Limitations
- The free plan carries 10 agent submissions ever; the Indie count is 100 a month and does not roll over, though waiting for renewal works.
- Product tracking is capped by plan: 1 on free and Indie, 3 on Studio, unlimited on Unlimited and Lifetime.
- The agent types in your browser, and by default stops at every login, so runs pause unless you change what it is allowed to do.
- The agent's work depends on you using your own MCP-capable client; the directory itself is read-only and needs no account.
- Per-platform approval times, link attributes and requirements vary widely and are set by each platform, not by SubmitMap.
Summary
SubmitMap pairs a free, no-account directory of 826 launch platforms with an MCP server that lets an existing AI agent plan a submission run and fill the forms. Qualification, planning and reading are free on every tier; paid plans ($9, $15, $29 per month, or $250 lifetime) exist for the dashboard and for letting your agent write to it.
